Amy and Victor - Family Session - Hog's Back Park

This session was so perfect I am now craving more sunny winter sessions. Had so much fun with this beautiful family this past weekend at Hog’s Back Park. Amy and Victor along with the whole fam were so laid back and relaxed infront of the camera, just being completely themselves. Also the sun an hour before sunset was so incredibly magical my heart was blowing up every time I snapped a shot. And look at how adorable Quinn is… the friggin’ cutest along with his canine buddy, Riley. I can’t stop looking through this set.

Matt & Ann - Family Session - Stanley Park

Every year I reach out to another photographer whom I admire and ask for a family session swap. Where I photograph their family and they photograph mine. We get a chance to watch how each other work, pick up a new trick or two and we have a chance to ask each other any questions that may have been lurking at the back of our minds regarding camera gear, business etc. I ALWAYS learn something new. This year I asked Matt from Green Tea Photography. He and his wife, Ann, are a crazy talented wedding photography team! Like legit, so incredibly amazing! I was soooo damn nervous to shoot this session, so much so that I sat and meditated in the park while I waited for them to arrive.… TWO photographers who I admire so very much bahhh. But I am sooooo happy I asked and it actually happened!! I’m an introvert and asking and following through was mentally tough. I have grown as a person and a photographer from this session alone. No kidding.

Here are their sneak peeks among 100’s I still haven’t had a chance to look through yet!

Gill & Geoff - Engagement Session - Gatineau Park

Gill and Geoff both travel a lot for work and only had two days available this month to meet up for their engagement session. With all the rain we have been getting we soooo lucked out! The combination of weather, location and this friggin’ beautiful couple made for one of my all time favourite engagement sessions to date. Please scroll through to check out their sneak peeks!

See you in June beauties!

Karyn & Chris - Family Session - Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary

I had the most incredible session this past Thursday. I’m still on a bit of a high over it. I had the pleasure of photographing Karyn and Chris’ gorgeous family on their amazing property. We had the most perfect weather, the colours in the forest were on point, and the kids were pretty frigging’ incredible!! What makes this session extra special is that Karyn and Chris are the owners of the Not-For-Profit, Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary. They provide a safe haven for life for farm animals who are at risk or who have only known abuse and neglect before being brought to them.

After we walked, and ran around their property with their dogs we ended the session with their incredibly special farm animals. The love this family has for these animals is obvious. As you look through the images you will no doubt feel it in your hearts as I did.

Jessica & Jorge - Picton Wedding - Crystal Palace

Sneak peeks for the wedding day of Jessica and Jorge are ready!! I always provide sneak peeks to my wedding clients within a few days of their big day. I try my best to pull out images that help tell the story of how the day unfolded. Now there are still 100s, possibly 1000s, that I haven’t even looked at yet, but I feel these images right here definitely allow you to feel their day. All the fun, all of the beauty, all of the huge amounts of love that was shared on this incredibly special day.

Ovie Kauai's Birth Story - Ottawa Birth Photography

I have been sitting for the past hour staring at these images of this amazing, emotionally overwhelming birth story. I have been putting off sharing them because I feel I just don’t have the right words to express how I feel about it all. I have never photographed a birth before. I have been wanting to, but I felt that each time I was asked, it just wasn’t the right time in my life. But ever since I had my girls, my only regret was that I didn’t document their births. So I have been really wanting to do this for someone, but just waiting for the right time.

Tina, who is one of my best friends, asked me months ago whether I would be interested in photographing her son’s birth. Yes, yes my heart said yes. I was ready.

Fast forward to October 14th, 2019 at 4:34am, I received a text from Guillaume telling me they have a room at the birthing centre. “I know it’s early…only if you want to” he writes. I sprung out of bed, brushed my teeth and was on the road within 9 minutes.

I’m going to let my images tell the rest of their story but before you start to scroll down and see this incredibly strong woman go through over 24 hours of labour, I need to say that I am beyond honour… I’m not sure there is a word in the dictionary to express it. It’s such a vulnerable and private experience, the birth of a child and to have been asked to be part of it fills me with so much overwhelming emotion, I am brought to tears each time I think about it. I feel so connected to this beautiful family of three and I am so looking forward to watching Tina and Guillaume grow as parents and to watch Ovie grow into a beautiful little person. My heart is incredibly full.

Amy & Pat - Family Session - Petrie Island

I am so in love with my job. I have photographed both these girls newborn sessions and have met up with this amazing family every year ever since. Their dogs, Charlie and Lily, who are 8 and 13 (!!) joined us on our adventure this year, and I know it can be a handful to bring your dogs on your sessions but seriously you will NEVER regret it!

Aleta & Kerry- Family Session - Pinhey Trail

In LOVE with this session. Three little girls under the age of 8 creates some incredible energy during a family session. So much going on, so much opportunity for me to get in there and capture all that crazy, arms are full goodness.

Jessica & Alan - 1 Year Wedding Anniversary - Orleans, Ontario

1st Wedding anniversary for Jessica and Alan! One year ago I documented their incredible wedding the day tornadoes hit down in the Ottawa area. Ridiculous winds, torrential rain and a power outage! It was an unforgettable day and one year later I photograph them again the day after their one year anniversary. Who says you only wear your wedding dress and tux once?! Seriously, such a fun session climbing waterfalls and running through the water watching the sunset. Check out their sneak peeks!
Happy anniversary Jess and Alan! I wish you a life time of love and happiness

Jessica & Jorge - Engagement Session - Kingston

I drove to Kingston to meet this incredible couple, Jess & Jorge. I’ll be documenting their wedding in October. They took me to this incredible hidden gem by the shores, that made me feel I was somewhere tropical. The weather gave us overcast, sunshine, a rainbow, wind and rain all in the span of 2 hours which made for so much variety I was in absolutely heaven, plus these two are the perfect match which made photographing them so incredibly easy. Here are their sneak peeks with so so much more that I haven't even looked through yet!

Brienne & Adam - Burleigh Falls Wedding

This wedding from this past Saturday was perfection. Brienne and Adam got married in this cute little church called St Peters on the Rock which is on an Island on Stony Lake! Guests arrived on pontoons! For real, my photographer heart explodes from happiness every time I think about it. After the ceremony while guests headed to the reception at Burleigh Falls Inn, Brienne, Adam and I got in a boat and headed to Adam’s family cottage on another private island 10 minutes away. We took portraits and explored the 3 acres of property where Adam and his siblings played and made incredible memories since their were small children.
And then back on the boat, we headed to the Inn where Craig Cardiff performed through out dinner and for their first dance.
Amazing couple, outstanding surroundings and incredible friends and family made for THE perfect day!
Here are their sneak peeks!!

Allison & Mike - Wedding - Ottawa Rowing Club

Allison & Mike got married August 19 and it was so ridiculously incredible. It was an outdoor ceremony at the Ottawa Rowing Club, it rained and it didn't even matter because they had clear umbrellas hanging off the backs of each guest chair(💥💥👏). The whole day was a photographers' dream, ending with fireworks over the Ottawa River.

Jane & Ben - Strathmere Wedding - Ottawa Wedding Photographer

A beautiful November wedding surrounded by an incredibly loving family. The speeches got me bad at this one, I laughed, I cried and felt all the love. It’s strange when I really start to think about what I do, spending an entire day documenting all the special moments of such an incredibly special day and how connected I feel with all the people I spent that day with by the end of the night. I wish Jane and Ben all the love and I’m excited to spend another beautiful day with this family in August of this year when Jane’s brother gets married.

Jess and Alan - Strathmere Wedding - Ottawa Wedding Photographer

Jess and Alan were married on September 21, 2018 which was the same day a tornado hit down in the Ottawa area. There were talks of moving the ceremony indoors but Jess wouldn’t have it and because of this I was able to capture the epic wind that day. Power was lost later in the evening, generators kicked in and the celebration continued.

Baby Bea - In Home Newborn Session - Ottawa Family Photographerl.

This was a very special newborn session with an amazing family I hold close to my heart.

Bea was an incredible last gift her father, Shane, left his family before he past away two months ago.

Bea... "she who brings Happiness"
